Jimmy Miner
Jimmy works with JL Properties, Inc. and its affiliates. In this role Jimmy focuses on real estate asset development, acquisition, and disposition; private equity investments across geographies and asset classes, and venture capital investments both specific to Alaska and social impact opportunities globally. Before joining JL Properties Jimmy spent four years working at Deloitte where he consulted on a variety of projects including: New Markets Tax Credits ("NMTC") and Qualifying Advanced Energy Project Credits (“48C”). During his time with Deloitte Jimmy managed over $325 million in real estate closings via the NMTC program.
Jimmy is the president of the board of directors of The Dome; secretary of the board of directors of Camp Fire Alaska, observer to the board of directors of 60 Hertz, and observer to the board of directors of Vega Coffee. Jimmy is also a member of the Budget Advisory Commission for the Municipality of Anchorage. Jimmy has an MBA from Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder and undergraduate degrees in accounting and real estate finance from DePaul University.
Brendan Fowler
Brendan is an emergency medicine physician at Sky Lakes Medical Center. He studied medicine at Rocky Vista University in Denver, CO and then went on to complete a residency in emergency medicine at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI where he worked as both a resident and flight physician. In 2019 he moved to Klamath Falls, OR to practice emergency medicine at Sky Lakes Medical Center. His interests in medicine include critical care/ resuscitation, emergency medical services, ultrasound use in emergency medicine and emergency treatment of COVID 19.
He also enjoys working in real estate and has been involved in real estate investment for the last 7 years. Currently his portfolio includes property in Denver, CO; Kalamazoo, MI and Klamath Falls, OR.
Chris Eldred
Chris is a research scientist at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. He studies Hamiltonian and variational formulations for geophysical fluids dynamics, and numerical methods for atmospheric and oceanic models, with a focus on those that preserve Hamiltonian or variational structure.
Before joining Sandia National Laboratories, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Laboratoire Analyse, Géométrie et Applications (LAGA) in Paris, France for 1.5 years and as a starting research scientist at Institut national de recherche en sciences et technologies du numérique (Inria) in Grenoble, France for 2 years. Chris has a PhD in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University and a BSc in Computational Physics from Carnegie Mellon University.
Robbie Janda
Robbie works as a Visual Effects Executive for Netflix in London, United Kingdom where he oversees titles in the Features and Series. Netflix puts out 70+ film titles per year, and Robbie’s role is to oversee the creative and budgetary integrity of the visual effects for 15+ titles per year, representing a yearly investment of over $100 million. While spending the last four years at Netflix, Robbie also started FJ Real Estate alongside Brendan Fowler, which focuses on real estate in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Prior to Netflix and FJ, Robbie worked in the freelance visual effects industry, overseeing the visual effects process on several films including but not limited to: Jumanji (Sony Pictures), Suicide Squad (Warner Brothers), Terminator Genisys (Paramount), and The Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2 (Lionsgate). Robbie holds a degree from Northern Arizona University where he majored in Film Production with a minor in English.
